The O*NET Program is the nation’s primary source of occupational information. CMA Today, an AAMA magazine, works to meet the informational needs of Medical Assistants. Current students may view a print version of the monthly publication in the Learning Resource Center

All certifications require continuing education to be eligible for renewal. Once a certification is issued, the certificate holder should ensure compliance with, and keep documentation of, all continuing education, as well as any other certification renewal requirements.

 

Maintaining Your Certification

 

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) (AAMA)

To use the CMA (AAMA) credential, a current status is required. Certifications will be current for 60 months from the end of the calendar month of initial certification or most recent recertification.
