Exam: NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing) Medical Assistant Certification – Certification Exam Fee: $119 (SEPERATE FEE). To enroll, you must submit a copy of your high school diploma, a Medical Assistant Certificate of completion or Medical Assistant Certification Qualification by Experience form completed by your employer within the past 5 years, or a SMART transcript or DD214 indicating formal medical service training in the USAF. Please contact our medical program coordinator for specific requirements prior to enrolling at 330-729-4100.
Exam: $119 NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing) Medical Assistant Certification
Class cost: $199
1. Graduate
- Program Completion: Must have graduated from a Medical Assistant program at an NCCT-authorized school within the past five years.
- Education: Must be a U.S. high school graduate or hold equivalent credentials (e.g., GED).
- Documentation: Must submit a copy of your Medical Assistant diploma, certificate of completion, or transcript with graduation date. This includes U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship programs.
2. Experience
- Work History: Must have one year of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant practitioner within the past five years.
- Education: Must be a U.S. high school graduate or hold equivalent credentials (e.g., GED).
- Employment: Must have one year of full-time employment or equivalent (2080 hours) as a Medical Assistant under the direct supervision of a certified/licensed physician or primary care provider within the past five years.
- Documentation: Must submit a copy of your high school diploma (or equivalent) and the Medical Assistant Certification Qualification by Experience form completed by your employer.
3. Military
- Training: Must have completed Medical Assistant training or its equivalent during U.S. Military service within the past five years.
- Education: Must be a U.S. high school graduate or hold equivalent credentials (e.g., GED).
- Documentation: Must provide a copy of a SMART transcript or DD214 indicating successful completion of a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces relating to the discipline for which you are testing. The DD214 or SMART transcript must be current within the past five years.

Pump Operations: Basic Fundamentals
PPE Requirements: At a minimum, participants should have a helmet, gloves, and eye protection.
While full PPE is not mandatory, it may be beneficial depending on weather conditions. In this 8-hr course, taught by the Ohio Fire Academy Water Movement and Pumps Cadre, students will learn theory, methods and techniques for operating fire service pumps.
Topics include:
types of pumps, engine and pump gauges, maintenance, pressure-relief devices, water supplies,
drafting and pumping operations. Certificates of attendance and continuing education will be provided.

This course is designed for those who wish to become certified as a Fire & Emergency Services Instructor in the State of Ohio.
Students must have 5 years experience in the fire or EMS service to take this class.
Please note that this is a Hybrid Learning class in which students will meet in person once a week.
Final examinations and presentations will take place in person in a traditional classroom setting at MCCTC.
