This program includes some required Monday dates (6p-10p) and will be given to students prior to the start of classes

Course Description

Ask a group of firefighters why they do what they do and their answers will vary. “I get to help people. The job is exciting. The fire service is like a family.”

Whatever your reason for wanting to pursue a career in firefighting, this course will help you become a well-trained firefighter and a vital part of your community. Training not only includes how to control fires, but how to respond to emergency situations where life, property, or the environment are at risk.

If you have the desire to be a part of the firefighting community, this entry-level firefighting course will offer you the basic knowledge and skills to function in a firefighting team. Our instructors are experienced, practicing firefighters in our Valley. This Firefighter Level I course will provide you with a comprehensive introduction to basic firefighting concepts and skills and includes live-fire training.
