Course Description

Thinking on your feet, staying calm in a trauma situation, and maintaining a level head are all reasons why it takes a special person to be an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). An Emergency Medical Technician is often the first to care for sick or injured individuals in an emergency setting and is required to assess the situation, properly attend to a patient’s condition to provide first-aid treatment or life support care as well as transport patients to medical facilities.

This intense, hands-on program focuses on emergency skills, such as managing respiratory function, trauma assessment and stabilization, cardiac emergencies, and patient assessment.

Ambulance ride time is required in addition to the program hours listed.

Tuition includes a BCI background check.
